The school assembly rota will fit with our religious and cultural learning, PHSE themes around our v irtues and values and our school rules. A central focus this year will be ‘What it means to be British’, through recognition and celebration of fundamental British values.

Our Assemblies promote British values including democracy (local, national and international), the rule of law , mutual respect, individual liberty and tolerance of different faiths and cultures. This includes national and internationally celebrated religious events and notable national days and events. We will be recognising and celebrating the reign of  Elizabeth II and the Year of Pulses and the Chinese Year of the Monkey.

 

Additionally, assemblies at Grove Junior School recognise the need to respond to and discuss world events as they occur.
