2015: Our First Trip to France

France Trip Summer 2015

Our first residential abroad was over-subscribed and enjoyed by all who attended. Joined by Mr Jones, Mrs Blackhurst and Mrs Bissell, the year 5 and 6 children left Grove Junior in the middle of the night and travelled from Dover to Calais. Arriving in Chateau Beaumont.

No minute was empty with the full range of activities from abseiling, zip wire, swimming to fencing!

Here are some of the things that the children who went had to say about their experiences.

Ignacy:

' I think my best memories of going to France will be the activities that we took part in. I tried everything even if it was new and I wasn't sure about them. Plus I got to speak French!'

Usman:

'I got to try all sorts of things and had a great time with my friends! The food we were given was different too. At one point some people tried the French speciality of snails!'

Freya:

'I really enjoyed it! Sharing a room with my friends was really good fun! Seeing everyone on the zip wire screaming made me laugh. I'd definiteley go again!

Samia:

'I'd love to go again! I loved the zip wire and zooming down it! I also enjoyed seeing the new places and we even went to the seaside but the tide was in and we couldn't go on the beach.'
