Boys football team

Football training is every Monday after school and some year 5 and 6 pupils have been playing in a local football league since the start of this year. Most fridays after school the team played between 1-3 games at Northwood Stadium against other schools. After many challenging games we have finished 4th place out of 14 in the league, winning every game apart from one!! A fantastic achievement, WELL DONE BOYS!!!

On Monday 4th July 2016 our football team played in the Euro 2016 Stoke primary schools football tournament at Thistley Hough High School. Each school represented a team from the tournament, our school was Russia. We were put into groups and we played 4 games in the group stages and we played so brilliantly it was 4 easy wins! We went onto the next stage and won a game 1-0 and lost 1-0 but this was still enough to take us through to the quarter finals!! We put on a brilliant show but we were unlucky to just let 1 goal in so our journey ended there but we had a great day out and we were very proud of what we had achieved.

Goal scorers-

Leighton Shaw (3)
Joshua Snape (2)
Sultan Ysuf (2)
Mekhi Simpson (1)
