Year 5 Trip to Manchester Museum

Year 5 had a great trip to Manchester Museum at the begining of December and visited the Ancient Egypt display for some hands on experiences. We are very grateful to our volunteers and would struggle to go on some trips without their help. We were thrilled with the feedback from one of our helpers:

Good Morning,

I had the pleasure of accompanying my daughter Rachel Linforth with her class and the rest of Year 5 to Manchester Museum yesterday. I have been a secondary school teacher of MFL for 20 years and have led several trips to Germany and France, and so school trips are very familiar to me.

The children were such a delight to be with, so polite and responsive. The discovery questions and answers session was a revelation to me, as not only had they absorbed previous learning and were able to articulate with confidence in front of peers and adults, but also their inquisitive minds demonstrated an eagerness to learn new facts and ideas.
I loved being able to guide a small group throughout this experience.

The pupils were a credit to their school and parents and if I didn't live so far away, I would volunteer more often.

Very best wishes

Gill Linforth

Thank you Mrs Linforth, We'll look forward to you joining us on future visits.
