Stoke-on-Trent School Term Dates Consultation

As a result of last year’s survey and more recent discussions with Headteachers and Schools, we would like to know your preference regarding the following two options for term dates in 2018 / 2019:

Staying safe online at Christmas

As many children (and adults) will be receiving tablets, phones and laptops this Christmas, it seems timely to share an article released by BT with you on staying safe online.

Take a look for any advice and precautions you may need to take.

Year 5 Trip to Manchester Museum

Year 5 had a great trip to Manchester Museum at the begining of December and visited the Ancient Egypt display for some hands on experiences. We are very grateful to our volunteers and would struggle to go on some trips without their help. We were thrilled with the feedback from one of our helpers:

Good Morning,

Science Day

Thanks to everybody who supported our Science Day: guest speakers, children, parents and staff - Science Day wouldn't have been the same without your enthusiasm.

World Book Day

Thank you to everyone for taking part in World Book day. We had a wonderful day and children were introduced to their new class reading books which included: Holes by Louis Sachar, Bill's New Frock by Ann Fine, The Sheep Pig by Dick King Smith and The Northern Lights by Philip Pullman. Lots of activities took place and children were encouraged to read for pleasure.

Mothers' Day

Thank you to everybody who supported us in our celebration of Mums, Nans and Aunties in our Mothers' Day assembly. All three assemblies werer well attended and Mums were treated to a surprise cream tea!

The children's messages of love were beautifully delivered and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

New Arrivals

Egg -citing news!

Some special visitors have arrived at Grove. Shortly to make their appearance, some chicks who are yet to hatch have made their temporary home at School. As soon as they start to hatch, more photos will follow but in the mean time, a photo of them in their eggs must suffice.

World Book Day

Don't forget it's World Book Day on the 3rd March 2016.

Pantomine - 17.12.15

Children had a surprise sprung on them this morning as staff put on a surprise panto.
